The relocation process explained in brief:

 

When you are done with everything, keys must be delivered in a drop box outside the Housing Office (Storgata 89), but first...
 

  • REPORT DEFECTS OR DEFICIENCIES IN YOUR APARTMENT. You are responsible for reporting any faults and defects in your apartment on Anker Login, see section 10 (7-8) of the tenancy agreement. You should do this when you submit your notice of termination or as soon as possible. This is important as a new student will be moving into the apartment shortly after you.
  • CLEANING UPON MOVING OUT. You may want to start cleaning early, it often takes much longer than you think! Please follow the checklist we have created for cleaning. There will also be a checklist available on the Anker Login-app about 30 days before the move-out date that you must fill out.
  • GIVE AWAY OR SELL YOUR NO LONGER NEEDED BELONGINGS. The janitors and cleaning staff really appreciates that you don't put belongings/things you don't want in common areas - or else they have to clean up after you. If there are things you want to get rid of, see our advice below! One person's junk can be another person's treasure.
  • HANDOVER OF KEYS

Your digital key in the Anker Student app expires at 11.00 on the day your contract ends. Postal keys must be left in your apartment before you move out. Then confirm your move-out here:

DELIVERY OF CHIP KEY AND POST KEY?

Keys (blue chip and post key) must be handed in no later than 11.00 AM on the day your contract ends. The keys must be on a key ring and placed in the drop box on the outside of the entrance to the Service Centre (in Storgata 89). You have access to the drop box 24/7 as it is located on the outside of the building, next to the front door.

  • SHOULD YOU GET YOUR ADVANCE RENT BACK OR DO YOU OWE RENT? The advance rent does go towards the last two months of rent, as long as you have two months worth of advance rent paid. We transfer your advance rent against an invoice after you have terminated the tenancy. You will still get an invocie. If you, for exampe, have not paid the increase in advance rent when your rent has increased during your tenancy, you will receive an invoice for the balance. 

  • Check Anker Login after you have moved out. Please note that it takes 1-3 working days from the time we have invoiced until the rent is shown as paid on Anker Login. Also remember to unsubscribe from e-invoicing/automated agreement giro. If you have paid too much, you will of course get this back! Please contact us if this is the case. It is important that your bank details are entered on your page, so that the money goes to the correct account. 

     

  • CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS. It is important that you receive important mail! All mail that arrives at your old address will automatically be returned to the sender when the new student has moved in. You can submit a notification of move to the authorities, which is also important in order to receive a cheque from Lånekassen.
