Indoor climate
Winter is here, making indoor temperature more important than ever for comfort ❄️
What is considered a "comfortable temperature" varies from person to person, but the recommended indoor temperature for living spaces is 20-22°C. At Anker Student Housing, heaters are set to 21°C, with small adjustments based on outdoor temperatures. Some apartments are equipped with smart heaters that lower the temperature to 18°C at night.
For bathrooms, the recommended temperature is 22-24°C, which Anker Student Housing adheres to.
Why Avoid Excessive Heat? 🥵
🩹 Health: High indoor temperatures can reduce air quality, leading to headaches, impaired concentration, and reduced overall well-being.
💧 Moisture and Mold: Excessive heat increases humidity, which can result in condensation and mold issues. Remember to use the kitchen fan while cooking and ventilate well after showering.
⚡ Energy Consumption: High energy use increases electricity costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Lowering the temperature by just 1°C can reduce energy consumption by 5%. Anker actively works towards sustainability and needs your help to minimize unnecessary energy use.
Keep indoor temperatures moderate for your comfort, the environment, and your health 💚
