We require an advance payment of approximately two months' rent as security, instead of using a deposit account.
This amount corresponds to the rent for the last two months of your lease (notice period), the invoice for which can be found on the last page of your contract.
- The advance rent must be paid before you can move into the student residence. Make sure to pay well in advance before collecting your keys to avoid delays or issues with key activation. Check the Anker Login app to confirm that the payment has been processed. If you have paid but the status in the Anker Login app has not been updated, please send us the receipt by email so we can ensure everything is ready for you.
- Please note that this amount is only used for rent payments (not fees, additional services, etc.) for the last two months of your tenancy. Unfortunately, it cannot be used for other purposes, even though we understand that it might be tempting!
- If you have lived in the property for several years and your rent has been adjusted upwards without you having paid additional advance rent, you will receive an invoice for the remaining rent due for the last month of the notice period.
- Please note that if you have signed a new contract and will continue living at Anker, the advance rent will be transferred from your old contract to the new one automatically when your new contract takes effect. You will only need to pay the difference between the old prepaid rent (what you have already paid) and the current prepaid rent for the accommodation. This price difference must be paid before your new contract starts. In this case, you must also continue paying rent "as usual," as the prepaid rent will not be used but transferred to the new contract.
- Have you terminated your rental agreement? Rent invoices will still be generated, as they are issued by the system regardless of your terminated/move-in status. The rent portion will be covered by the advance rent, but all fees, additional costs, or unpaid balances must be paid by the you.
You can pay the prepayment via Anker Login or use the bank details found in the invoice on the last page of your rental contract.
