Are you planning to get a friend or loved one as a co-tenant? The person you want to share the apartment with does not necessarily have to be a student, but they must be between 18-36 years old. So...grandma cannot move in with you.

To register a cohabitant and get an extra key set, you must do the following:

  1. Go to “My profile” in the "Anker Login" app and click “rediger profile”. (see link below).
Register the person you want as your co-tenant and upload a new profile picture with both of you visible.  Please note that single apartments and shared kitchen flats are intended for only 1 person, so only you.
  2. Let us know that you have a co-tenant by email and we will arrange an extra set of keys for you or give you instructions on how to activate the Keyfriend option for your co-tenant. Cohabitants must show ID at the reception to collect keys, together with the main tenant, and when moving in with digital keys.

Please note: Only the main tenant will be listed on the contract, but we are happy to provide a confirmation of cohabitation if desired, e.g. if the authorities require it due to the loan fund.

Even if you are good friends or lovers right now, we recommend that you still have a cohabitation contract between you in case of conflict and disagreement at a later date.

Remember that the main tenant is legally responsible for the lease agreement and payment of rent, even if you have a co-tenant. This means that if you go through a break-up and your boyfriend suddenly moves out, Anker Studentbolig cannot take this into account, and you will still have to pay rent as normal. BUT, we can help you find more affordable student accommodation if your funds are not sufficient - should there be availability. Apply for an internal transfer (change of accommodation) via. Anker Login and send us an email after you have applied so that we can help you further.
