Is your shower drain starting to clog? Then some of your hair has probably collected in the drain.
- Put on rubber gloves.
- Remove the grate above the drain and take out the cup that is in the drain. Do not throw hair into the toilet as it can clog the drain. Throw the hair in the residual waste.
- Clean the cup thoroughly in a bucket of soap and water.
- Put the cup back the way it was in the drain.
NB! Make sure it is firmly in place. This prevents odours from the drain pipe from entering the room.
If the drain is completely blocked even after cleaning the drain, you can use Mudin (drain opener) to open the pipes again. Follow the instructions on the bottle carefully! You can buy Mudin in most shops or from us at the housing office.
